We stayed at the Inn Thursday-Saturday at the last weekend in May. When we arrived around 5:30pm, Ericka greeted us in the parking lot with a warm smile. She immediately showed us to our room (The Cottage) and asked if we needed any wine glasses or anything to make our arrival better. She also showed us where the dog dishes, treats and flashlight (how thoughtful!!!) were located since we brought our dog and was staying in the dog friendly suite. We grabbed the wine glasses and explored the property for a glass of wine while we debated over restaurant recommendations given by our host. The property is really great. We sat under the deck on the lawn and listened to the sounds of birds while enjoying our drinks. We went into Mystic for dinner and had a nice meal and returned to our Cottage for our first night stay. The room was nautical, rustic and had modern and antique decorations. The double ceiling fans kept us cool throughout the night and the bed was very comfortable. Ericka made us breakfast and chatted with us during our coffee, allowing us to pick her brain about what to do in town that day. She recommended a few kayaking rentals and where to go for a lobster roll, and we wanted to try out the Thai restaurant she had recommended the night before. She also gave us some dog friendly places to visit and eat at while in town. She helped us pack our cooler with ice packs and gave us some beach towels for our day. We returned and made ourselves comfortable at the campfire pit and brought along our makings for s’mores. Ericka had the fire set up and gave us blankets to bring out as well. She offered (when I booked in April) to add on the s’mores package, but also mentioned we could bring our own fixings and she would set up the fire for us! We were lucky to have beautiful weather during our stay to be able to enjoy the amenities of the property, such as a bonfire and s’mores! We had breakfast once again and Ericka cooked us eggs, bacon and toast to order as well as fresh fruit and yogurt. We were sad to leave and made her well aware we would be returning soon, and possibly planning a reunion trip with a few couples for the fall. Ericka made our stay wonderful with her bright and cheerful personality and warm and welcoming atmosphere at the Abbey’s Lantern Hill Inn. We immediately recommended our stay to all of our family and friends for the perfect getaway at any time of year. Although this Bed and Breakfast isn’t located in Mystic, CT, it is only 10 minutes away on a scenic back road and far away to make you feel like you are in the country.

We were pulled in by the proximity to Foxwoods and affordable pricing, and ended up loving Abbey's for the serene surroundings and welcoming atmosphere. The room and its balcony were great. The location was beautiful and conveniently within walking distance from Foxwoods and hiking trails. The breakfast was delicious. It was all such a nice low-key, comforting change of pace from NYC. Thanks to Erica for making our experience such a positive one.

Anytime I go to Foxwoods or Mystic... I am going to stay at Abbey's Lantern Hill Inn. LOVED IT! Very Friendly Service, I immediately felt comfortable and at home. Fantastic breakfast, very clean and quiet. And was impressed with the fact that our car was clean of snow when going out in the morning... GREAT HOSTS!

My husband and I stayed here over Christmas. What a wonderful place to stay.. We had a very warm welcome and our room was beautiful, clean and the fireplace was a delight. Ericka and Peter were very informative about the area and made our stay special. We couldn't have been happier. The food was organic and the place is very eco friendly. They even have a special cottage if you have dogs.. We are most definitely coming back to Abbey's Lantern Hill Inn.. Thank you so much.

My husband and I stayed here the beginning of May in the Mystic Room. I can't begin to tell you how much we enjoyed ourselves. The room is beautiful, the whirlpool tub amazing and the locally made shampoo, conditioner and body wash smelled amazing! Erica was a great hostess from the moment we pulled in. She made us feel very welcome and spent time telling us all the great spots to go to in the area. If you're looking for a place where you can relax, yet still be local to everything then this is the place to be. We loved being 2 mins away from Foxwoods, but being able to leave and go sit on our own porch and relax. We will definitely be back!
