The BEST doughnuts, bread, cakes, pies, and cookies in 500 miles any direction. Ali sweetens with honey, not sugar, and his creations are masterful. He does specialty cakes and pies that are FANTASTIC!!! Does "tuxedo" strawberrys on Valentine's Day that make you a big hit with the wife. Maryville is so fortunate to have Ali's Bakery. Get out and support this business, if you want to have options other than Wal-Mart, Hy-Vee and convenience stores. And did I mention how wonderful Ali is? Well, he is a wonderful person!!!

If you go to Maryville you have to stop at Ali's. The raspberry twists are my favorite. He also makes really good bread, cannolis, baklava... all kinds of things. You can sit down and hang out with the locals and drink some coffee. Ali is really friendly and likes talking with customers.
