My wife and I stayed one night--our last night in a serious of stays between Portland and Acadia--and thoroughly loved it! It was by far the best of all the inns. Jordan was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. She made us feel welcomed and looked after. She also gave many recommendations for dinner in town (the Italian place was spot on). Jordan was clearly made for this job! The owners, Cheryl and Mike, take pride in their inn, and it shows. The room was large, generously decorated, and spotless. The breakfast was the best meal we had during our entire trip--including our lobster dinner in Bar Harbor! Cheryl is a fine hostess and an excellent chef, while mike is a great conversationalist and fun, quirky entertainer. Anyone staying here will agree with me. Worth every penny! You can take that to the bank. We truly wish we could have stayed here longer! Thank you!

There need to be more than 5 stars for the Berry Manor Inn. I was heading up to Rockland on business during the middle of May. I happened across the Inn by chance when looking for places to stay and I am glad that I did. The instant I walked in the front door, I was welcomed by Jordan. She proceeded to show me around the lower level, providing a brief history of the building and the lowdown on the kitchen (and the pies and ice cream), dining and common areas. After the brief tour, I was shown to my room and left for the evening, but not before she provided dining recommendations. After a great night's rest in quite the comfortable bed, I descended the stairs for breakfast. I didn't know that I was going to get a meal and entertainment, but it was quite refreshing. Each morning, Mike has a 'hat of the day', which brought a smile to my face. Breakfast was delicious and got me started on my day. Returning 'home' for the evening felt just like that, and it was important as I did miss not being home with my husband. Each night (I was there for 4 nights) I was welcomed at the door by Cheryl asking how my day was, and if I needed anything or any reservations made for dining. They made my dinner reservations and had a cab ready for me when it was time to go. I really couldn't thank them enough for the hospitality they provided. It is very rare to feel as welcomed as Cheryl, Mike and staff made me feel. If I have the opportunity to spend some time in Rockland again, I will definitely book here again.

Berry Manor is our home away from home. 5.5 years ago our immediate families stayed here for our wedding and we have been coming back ever since as often as we can make it. Cheryl, Mike and Lori always make our stay perfect - they know our needs and tastes (Miranda reservations!) and we always feel so welcome. And if all of that isn't enough, there's PIE! Really good pie, 24/7! The rooms are amazing; comfy, calm and peaceful. Most rooms have a soaking tub of some sort and the blast showers in the carriage house are so worth a visit. All in all, the best B&B in Maine, hands down!

My wife and I have traveled to Maine often in the last 20 years and have had the opportunity to stay in many of the B & Bs, inns, and hotels along the coast and clearly rank the Berry Manor Inn at the top of the list. The property is a well maintained Victorian house, beautifully appointed with period furnishing, but it's not a bit stuffy. It's comfortable and welcoming. The rooms are ample and beds super comfy. The staff is super friendly, personable and helpful. And the food is superb. And did I mention 24 hour access to home baked pie? Any time of the day or night, you may help yourself to a piece of fresh handmade pie. It's a little slice of heaven. If you're in the Mid Coast/ Lower a Down East area, the Berry Manor Inn is a must . Only a short walk to the Main Street of Rockland filled with art galleries and restaurants and the well known Farnsworth Art Museum..

I wanted to surprise my fiancee with a surprise getaway, and the Berry Manor Inn was the perfect place for it. We went during the beginning of the week and in the middle of winter, so we got a great deal on one of their bigger rooms! I recommend calling them because they helped me save some extra money! The pictures online are very accurate, and when we arrived, the room was immaculate. We had to come in late, but they made our late check in super easy. We stayed in room 11 and the bathroom and fireplace were probably the best features in the room. The gas fireplace made the room very cozy and was a huge sell in booking this place. The bathroom was HUGE! The room had a double headed shower with body jets. It was like taking a massage shower. There was also two person whirlpool tub, which was a decadent treat! Breakfast was delicious and filling each day. They seems to alternate between sweet and savory meals every other day, but both days we left pleasantly full. If you don't get full you can always sneak into the pantry for some pie and ice cream! I really enjoyed the free soda and water in the communal fridge as you could grab a bottle on your way out for some adventuring. Since we came during winter and during the week, a lot of places were closed, but Cheryl and Mike were gracious hosts. They recommended things to do and would go out of their way to find out if places were open. They even made us dinner reservations after I hinted that I wanted to try Cafe Miranda. If you are looking for a great experience, a comfortable place to stay, and some good eats, this is the place to stay!
