Easy money, friendly staff. The process is much easier than I expected. I hate needles and I can do it.

I donated here for an entire summer, as often as I could and I had a great experience. It's a little hard to get in because they don't have many openings for the required physical by the on-site nurse, but keep calling early and once you do get in and start making regular appointments, it's very easy. The physical is quick and easy, nothing too extensive. Once you're all set up to go, you check in via fingerprint, go to a kiosk to answer a few state required questions (Have you been sick? Have you donated elsewhere? Are you pregnant?) then they check your vitals and whisk you down to another waiting room. You'll have to give your name and SS number a few times, but the whole process from when you walk into the door until you finally get in the seat takes about 5-15 minutes depending on how busy they are. You'll be seated on a reclined lounge (it's very cold so most people bring small fleece blankets), hooked up, and you will be ready to go. How long you sit depends on your weight and once you're done, they take the needle out and you re-enter your fingerprint on the way out which automatically loads your BIolife debit card with your payment. Keep your eyes out for their 'deals', they often allow you to earn more money by coming in the morning, bringing in a friend, etc and they will also mail coupons for you to earn more money. The reason I stopped donating was because my pulse was too high every time I checked in after awhile. I'm having weight loss surgery soon and will no longer be able to donate but I still recommend Biolife in Fargo!

I have been donating there for awhile, and I love that you can schedule appointments online more than a full week ahead. During the school year, it is impossible to get in and out of any plasma center quickly if there is no scheduling system.
