Good selection of wet shaving gear: soaps, creams, brushes, double edge safety razors, and DE razor blades. This is the first place in Houston I have seen with more than one brand of DE razor blades for sale! They had all the classic shaving brands like Taylor of Old Bond Street, Truefitt & Hill, Edwin Jagger and more. Basically the good stuff. Has a bunch of other eclectic stuff too but my focus was on the wet shaving gear. Even though this place isn't focused on shaving products, I feel it has a better variety than the Art of Shaving stores in the malls. Also a bit cheaper than Art of Shaving too. If you are into wet shaving and want a place in Houston were you can get stuff that isn't Art of Shaving branded, I would recommend this place.

Really nice shop! I buy all of my tea here. I also like the large selection of English, Irish, and Scottish candies! I highly recommend popping in for a peek.

I stumbled upon British Isles on a weekend shopping trip to Rice Village and ohhhh my goodness it was heaven. It has an impressive selection of British goods - teapots, jams, teas, sweets, lotions/ cosmetics, knick-knacks and even tartan blankets (my fav!)! It was so nostalgic wandering the ailes and recognizing brands from my childhood. Plus the staff was so warm and welcoming. I'll definitely be back!

Fascinating store with friendly staff and an expansive array of china and pottery, souvenirs and memorabilia AND groceries from the UK and Ireland. Huge candy (Easter too) selection .

Houston is lucky to have one of the few great U.S. stores dedicated to British goods. The store offers a wide selection of teapots, Portmeiron, Spode, Dunoon bone china mugs, pewter platters, glug glug jugs, and Pimpernel placemats. They have a nice selection of high-quality greeting cards and Caspari napkins, and some very interesting gift wrapping paper. Flags, Guinness products, men's and women's soaps and toiletries, Paddington bear, Peter Rabbit, caricature figures, children's tea sets, and tin soldiers abound. Food-wise they carry frozen meat pies, sausages, curry sauces, custards, biscuits, marmalades, scone mixes, Cadbury chocolates and candies, Turkish delight, many kinds of tea and tea accessories. For the holidays mincemeat pies, fruitcakes, decorative crackers, and Saint Nicholas quilted Christmas ornaments all make their appearance. Don't miss browsing the books for a cookbook like "Classic English Puddings".
