Certified Transmission

I highly recommend Certified Transmission in Independence. I was very happy on my first visit in DEC, 2011 when they found and repaired an issue with my 4-wheel drive truck that two other shops couldn't even diagnose, much less repair. So, naturally, when I had issues come up this year I went back. As always, in my experience, they went above and beyond to diagnose and repair the issues and even found a previously unknown (to me) issue that would have cost me $$$ down the road. It's great to have found a reputable transmission shop that I can trust to repair my vehicles...

First I have to say these guys are really nice and gave us excellent customer service. They worked on my grandma's car for her and kept her informed the entire time. They even took the time to fax some stuff to her insurance company for her. They really know what they are doing and even though we had to spend money to fix the car, we really felt like we got a great deal and they made the experience as painless as possible . I know that my grandma was very happy with her service there and was so happy that the lady there took the time to bring the car to her personally when it was done. Grandma also said all the guys there were nice too and she is sending all of her friends there. If they can make my 87 year old grandma this happy, I recommend anyone with a transmission issue to go there. Thanks!

Cottman Transmission put a transmission in our Chevy Astro Van about 5 or 6 years ago. Our experience with Cottman was horrible! So, when we needed a new transmission, we started asking around. The recommendations were overwhelmingly pointing to Certified Transmssion! We are very happy with the final results. We brought the van in last week because it was shifting hard. They worked on it several days until they found the problem. Normally being without a vehicle would have been a hardship, but they provided a loaner car. What a HUGE blessing! Cynthia and the guys were great! I highly recommend this shop!

The service could not have been better. Don Nichols handled everything promptly and in a professional manner. Just looking at the technician, Barry, who worked on my car gave me confidence that he knew his business and that the work would be done correctly.. It's only been one day since the work was done and it will take more time to know if what was done corrected the problem, but so far it is doing fine and at this point I'm very, very satisfied with what has been done. Of course the problem doesn't show up when we test drive it, so they will test drive it over a weekend and give me a loaner car if the problem persists. Who could ask for more from a service department.

Every person who works here has the customer's best interests at heart. My transmission problem was difficult to diagnose--the Nissan dealer was unable to diagnosis it at all. Cindy, Dan and their staff worked with me to replace my transmission and Cindy even drove it to her home one night, nearly 100 miles, to be sure that the problem would not re-occur when the engine was hot. They have followed up with me to be sure everything is still A-OK. This is the third transmission my family has replaced using Certified and we will recommend and use them again.
