    We visited town recently to see our family and wanted to bring a cake home for our daughter's birthday. My uncle took me to Del Prete to taste their rum cake. They didn't disappoint us: very traditional and a great flavor. While we were there, my uncle told me that it was the place that my late grandfather used to visit to buy pastries while he lived in Bridgeport several decades ago. That was sweet (no pun intended).
