Foods of New York Tours

I have done two different tours and they were both great! Very knowledgable and fun guides that provide a lot of interesting information about the area and the food. All the food was very good. And there is a lot of it, definitely arrive hungry. Stopped at some iconic places and some off the beaten path type places too.

"Excellent way to explore Greenwich Village - thanks Sephara!" Perfect blend of story telling, architecture summary, and delicious food samples. We've done a similar tour in LA and it wasn't half as good. This included introduction to places we returned to later to explore more fully. (Olive Oil shop) Also great explanation of what "Off Broadway" means, and where to go for great, smaller venue shows. Sephara is very professional and knows New York really well!

Foods of New York Tours was highly recommended by a colleague - and we are glad we took their advice. We did the Greenwich Tour in 2013 and had the fabulous Bert as our guide. We found him to be very informative and thoroughly enjoyed learning about New York while sampling fabulous food. The whole experience was so enjoyable that we then did the Nolita tour - and again the positive experience was repeated. We have since recommended the Foods of New York Tours to friends and family - and all (including our 23 year old son and his girlfriend) have had a wonderful time. Highly recommend this tour to everyone!

The food tour was great, and made for a very fun afternoon. Great tour guide, well informed and entertaining. Good variety of restaurants, bars and pastry shop (and a coffee shop) with a lot of history. I would participate in their other tours on future visits to NYC - and would recommend this tour company to friends and family.

I have gone on three of the food and culture walking tours (original Greenwich Village tour twice) and loved them each time. The guides have all been very friendly, enthusiastic, and could answer any question asked of them. They were extremely knowledgeable about the foods we sampled, as well as the history of each eatery. They shared many interesting facts about the areas we walked through. The samplings were plentiful enough that we were stuffed by the end of the tours. The one thing I've most highly recommended to friends visiting NYC is the food tours, and they've all come back with the same positive reaction. The tours expose their followers to a quieter side of NYC, away from the hustle and bustle of mid-town, and are well worth the money.
