There are two words to describe their treats. Eye candy and amazingly delicious. It's not all pretentious and doesn't try to be European style like so many of those other "Artisan" bread bakeries. Their creations are so unique and bursting with flavor. They bake them fresh in shop too! They've got everything from fresh monkey bread, chocolate peppermint loaves to apple crunch bread which is my favorite. It's almost like an apple pie in bread form. Their cookies are gigantic and when summer comes around try their ice cream sandwiches. Indulgent! Like their bread, their baked goods are made from scratch and easily the best in the area. Their pesto swirl is amazing too. It's such a delicious and savory bread that butter and any other topping is not needed. A couple slices alone are a meal. When you walk into the place they offer you a thick slice many of the breads that they have to sample on the cutting board which is really fun. Seriously if you haven't tried this place you really need to check it out now.

They made my sandwich today. It was awesome. Yum. Felt like it deserves a review. Great cookies, too. Don't forget to ask for a slice of free bread while you wait if they have some out. Secret tip: the half sandwich is only a little bit smaller than a whole, so try the half and if you're still hungry get a cookie. Sugar cookie and oatmeal chocolate chip are especially good.

How can anyone say anything bad about Great Harvest... they have some of the best treats and snacks you can find in the downtown area. My personal favorite would be any of their larger cookies! Their location is not too hard to find and the lines are not to long because the teams there work fast! While doing this review I decide to look at their website! Great Harvest is a franchise which you can open your own Great Harvest or purchase an existing bakery! Which is always amazing in my eyes! I will end this review with their Mission Statement: Be loose and have fun. Bake phenomenal bread. Run fast to help customers. Create strong & exciting bakeries. And my personal favorite Give generously to others.

All I wanted was a sandwich, but I was hoping for something more than I could make myself at home. I was pretty disappointed with Great Harvest. Yes, the bread is good, but it's not mind blowing, and the sandwich was as plain as plain could be. Seriously, just go home and make the thing yourself, you'll save some money in the end.

I stopped in for an afternoon pick-me-up and was mightily impressed with their "monster cookie" packed with oatmeal and M&Ms. I consider myself something of a cookie connoisseur and this one had the perfect combo of crispy edges and chewy center. Also, they gave me a generous slice of cinnamon bread to sample. Delicious!
