Stepping into Hubtattoo is embarking on a new experience if you've spent any time in other tattoo shops. They've done an amazing job in creating an environment that's comfortable, immaculate, and beautiful without being pretentious. These are true professionals. Michael Norris tattooed me (my first tattoo in 5 years) and was not only supremely talented (if you look at his work, it speaks for itself), he was insightful. I had a clear idea of what I wanted and he knew how to execute my original vision in a way that exceeded anything I could have imagined, taking into account curvature of the body and perspective. It was all just great. This is a place where you go if you want truly artful pieces. And on top of it, they're just cool. There's no attitude or judge-y, too-cool-for-school talk. I saw other tattoos in progress on another one of my visits by Cora and Randall and they also looked amazing. Conclusion: go here. They'll help you create something more extraordinary than you thought possible.

I have been getting tattooed for a very long time and I have never found a place with such professionalism and talented artist like I have found here. The shop is amazingly beautiful. You are getting tattooed in a private art gallery! When you come to this shop they don't treat you like family, you ARE family. This is how tattoo shops should be! Finding a place like this is rare. I am so happy with every experience I have had here. Truly love this place!

Hub Tattoo is the most beautiful tattoo studio I've ever seen. The atmosphere is calming and everyone is very friendly. It feels more like walking into a spa than into the average tattoo shop. I was tattooed by Michael Norris, who is a brilliant artist. I loved the design he drew on me immediately, which was surprising considering I'm a nit-picky artist myself. But clearly, this comes naturally to him. He knows how to make the design work with a person's body, how to make it flattering and flow beautifully with the muscles and curves. And on top of being supremely talented, Michael is a kind and humble soul. The other artists are also wonderful and I highly recommend this studio. It is a peaceful place where not only will you get a masterful tattoo, you will be treated with care and kindness (something that, for me, was very comforting while I was in extreme pain;).

If you are like me and don't have any tattoos (even though you want one) because every tattoo parlor you have ever seen looks like a drug exchange set for a biker movie, you have got to check this place out. This place looks like the lobby of a Fortune 500 company, and has paintings and drawing on the wall (that the owner created himself) that are better than some art studios I have been to. Michael, the owner, is a consummate professional, incredible artist, and was very patient answering questions of an apprehensive-hypochondriac-tattoo-newbie to put me at ease. If you have any interest in beginning a tattoo collection of your own, I can't imagine a better place to start. See Michael.

Hey, is there another star? Two? More? Because I would most definitely add them. We all know getting a tattoo is a commitment (that always cracks me up when people say that. Also, "Did it hurt?") and you're probably doing your research. Or you can be like me. Simply print out "mischief managed", bring it in to a tattoo place you read good things about and let the magic happen. That's it, right? No. Meet Michael. The One. From the moment I shook Michael's hand, I knew there was something special. Special enough that I've gone on to get a still in progress backpiece that winds its way down to two phoenixes on my left leg. Watching Michael work is like watching anyone who excels at their job - painter, barista, athlete - it's beautiful. When I lived in Austin (yes, I still fly from California to Austin because NO ONE touches these tattoos but Michael), I used to come in to say hello (always welcome, btw) but I loved just watching him work. Put Michael and his artwork and your tattoo in one place and you have a masterpiece.
