"We enjoy taking our daughters to Leapin Lizards indoor playground to jump around and burn off some energy. As a fitness instructor I know the importance of kids and Leapin Lizards is the place for that! We also hosted one of my daughters birthday party here and it was great. We definitely recommend them!"

Compared to other indoor playgrounds, Leapin Lizards is fairly large. There are two rooms with pretty sizable inflatables. There's also a smaller area for the younger kiddies. Despite the room, it's less busy than other places I've been which makes it easier to keep track of your kid. The back bathroom was atrocious though. The fixtures were pretty old, and it didn't look like anyone had taken a mop to the floor in a week. With young kids, that's a definite no-no. I didn't let me child walk on the floor in her socks. Also, there was a bounce house in the back that I nicknamed the House of Pain. A couple of kids, including mine, came out crying from random boo-boos.

I went to this place for the 2nd time today, the last was about 5 years ago, and was horrified. I usually take my kids to Hippo Hop and admittedly have become accustom to that level of professionalism, cleanliness and maintenance of the play structures. We went to Leapin' Lizards because it's 1/2 a mile from our house, but I will never go there again. 1. The person working the counter was surfing Facebook the entire time we were there and was looking at some pictures that I didn't want my kids to see, and frankly I can't unsee. 2. The place was really dirty 3. The play structures were really run down, most cracking and mended with tape. 4. The air hockey table was chipped in several corners with exposed sharp serrated edges, and worse, the same on the strikers. 5. The drinking fountain was missing both side panels and had exposed wires inside, and was just the height and size for a 3 year old to stick their (wet) hands into. Oh, it was also moldy around the water faucet. 6. The carpet was puckered and pealing up at the seams 7. During the week (apparently) only 1/2 of the play structure are available to play on (we found out the hard way) for the same price as all of them on the weekend. 8. The "snack bar" was a mess, and with no door or person watching it, I saw a kid walk behind the counter and grab cleaning supplies off the shelf. Do yourself a favor and pay a few dollars more and go to Hippo Hop, it's so much nicer you will not even believe it.

I have been taking my son to Leapin' Lizards for a few years now and I've never been disappointed. We had his fifth birthday party there two years ago and it was a great success. In fact, we're having his seventh birthday there this weekend because he wanted to go back. The staff are always helpful and courteous. The place is so much cleaner than Monkey's Joes. They are always looking out for the safety of the kids, too. They have occasional discounts on their multi-visit cards so keep your eyes open for them. Even so, I think they are reasonably priced. Just be sure to bring socks! :-)
