Took my sons there for a birthday dinner on the 23rd of July 15. Sat outside. Our server Stephanie was TOPS...she made the menu come alive as she went thru the specials for the night and took excellent care of us throughout the evening. And to top it all off was the BEST Meal we have had out in ions...the Pork Chop special was sensational..even the desserts where to die for. Thanks for the great experience...Highly recommend

This place is the real deal. Attentive waiters, generous bartenders, great patrons and the food is slamming . crab cake was good but could have been elevated, pork belly is excellent, generous and delish tuna and steak.

So I got taken out for a pretty big birthday - myself, folks and boyfriend. My father set up the reservations for 8pm, and that's when we showed up. After being greeted, we were informed there was no table for us in the "reservation area" (which is a nicer section with linen tablecloths and such, in a private area) - there was no offer to wait for one to open - instead we were directed we could "eat at the bar" by a very curt woman (who we think is the wife of the owner?). She then begrudgingly offered we could wait for a table in the regular section of the restaurant. Considering neither I nor boyfriend drink, I figured it would be pretty lame of us to hog two bar seats, so we opted to wait for a table. This was highly annoying, as you could imagine. It was just such a huge brushoff, and smacked of them just giving our reserved table to walk-in customers to make more money (since it was packed on a Saturday night). This is highly unprofessional, and the woman's attitude certainly didn't help the matter... but no one wanted to rain on the evening so we rolled with it. I found an excellent salmon special on the board and was dying to try it. After waiting a half hour, the same woman retrieved us for our table (at which time she said she'd cover the wine my folks had gotten, which I suppose was a nice gesture) and sat us. When the wonderful waiter came over (he was fantastic - the poor service score was certainly not for him), he let us know there was only one salmon special left - and when I expressed interest in it, he ran right to the kitchen to hold it - but too late! It was already gone. I got a steak instead, which was fine... but I could get a steak anywhere, for much less money. The rest of the menu seemed kind of regular and boring in compared to the special, and I had rather set my sights on it. I cannot express to you my frustration - and everyone elses. If we had been seated at our reserved table at the right time, then the special would of still been there! It seems rather petty to complain about such things, but I really didn't feel like the management cared at all. If the woman had seemed genuinely sorry (and I don't mean comped our bill or anything), or if they had made any effort to explain why the table wasn't there, or even just apologized, I wouldn't be here typing this. My father said this had happened to them twice before - once for my mother's birthday too. Alas, I won't be going back and certainly won't be recommending them to anyone else either.

We have been here for dinner as a family at least a dozen times in the past year. On a few occasions we have brought my uncle who uses a walker. We go for early dinner to avoid the crowd and make it easier to get around. The problem is that the staff is extremely inconsiderate when he is with us. The last time we went the snow banks blocked the curb so we dropped of my uncle with his walker at the back door, which says "entrance." It was locked and they ignored our knocking for several minutes. One of us started to walk around the front to open the door. Someone finally opened and said "WHAT"... seriously? It's a restaurant door, we want food. We were seated as far away from the door as possible.. and ignored for ten minutes. If my uncle didn't want to eat there we all agreed we would have left. Some of their servers have also given him a hard time when he has a little trouble speaking. He's a 65 year old veteran who's had a stroke and uses a walker, all open and obvious, show a little consideration people. Don't belittle or argue with someone who has a little trouble speaking. We are done dropping over $200 a pop on such poor service. The specials are usually great, but the service ruins it.
