Right up front, the exhibits are top notch. Plenty to see and learn; however, much like other reviews state, you are herded through like cattle. There are no attempts to manage the "herd" and people are everywhere, all the time. Every employee you attempt to talk to is not going to give a damn. Surprisingly enough, they even make it hard for you to spend money once inside (good luck buying that family photo!) It is that time of year, so most of this is expected, but don't ask me to pay $100 for it. Bad show Mr. Ripley, bad show...

Beautiful exhibits so why two stars? Couple things... 1: you're herded like livestock through the place in a flow that you can't break free from. It feels like an assembly line. The Shark tunnel actually has a conveyor belt that takes you through it. 2: it's priced so high! 2 adults and 3 children were $95 for what would take and less than an hour to see if the crowds weren't so large and essentially pushing you through the place.

Overall it was very nice. Although when we went there were a ton of local schools on field trips and were allowed to run around like wild animals with very little guidance. The kids tunnels are nice BUT you need a person at each end just to keep up with your children in the hectic crowd. Parking isnt that bad... it was $4.75 for us and would have been less but we walked the aquarium twice, which I recommend because each time the animals are in different spots and have moved (for photo opp). Overall it was fun.... I reccomend driving and paying parking because although the trolley has a stop there you will be on it a good 30min or so when if you drive (about 3-5 min from most hotel/motel) its much faster.

I have been to this facility several times over several years. Many times with my family (Mom, Dad, Grandma and Grandpa) when I was younger (9, 10, 11) but this was the first time with my own family (my 2 year old son and girlfriend). We absolutely loved the whole attraction until we got to the photo review section of the aquarium. This is where everything went downhill. I waited in line for over 25 minutes, which is acceptable because of how busy they were but my problem is that I was told to move to another register because the current one was malfunctioning. So the customer in front of me, I and my family and the 15 people behind me moved registers and started all over. When the customer in front of me was finished with their review and purchase I moved up to the "working register" and waited for the gentleman to get back from the picture cutting portion. When he came back he stepped back to the "malfunctioning register" and begin taking other customers order who had been there for 1-2 minutes. I then confronted him about it and he said "I did not move. I do not have a log in to to that register. I must stay stationary at this register (the malfunctioning one). If you would like to see your pictures and purchase some you must move to the back of this line and wait like everyone else". He was very rude and not polite whatsoever. I do not know if he was new or just having a bad day but I don't believe that is an excuse. The photo booth was very un-organized and not moving well with the flow. There was a younger gentleman who was running around and had his head on straight and I regret not going in his line. The photo booth interaction has ruined a relationship with a great customer. I am regularly vacationing in Tennessee specifically for the Aquarium, food, sightseeing and attractions but I highly doubt I will return because of my recent experience. I was completely dissatisfied with this. The tour is great and amazing but the pictures are the memories for my son to look back on.
