If you are planning a trip up the Skagit River (frequently known as the 'Gorge') and need a place to stay for a night or two or several weeks we recommend Clark's Skagit River Resort. They offer small or large cabins with nice bathrooms tucked in forest surroundings. The cabins also have coffee makers and small refrigerators, a kitchen sink and microwave. The property the cabins are located on is many acres large and you find yourself in beautiful forest with lots of paths going here and there. The grounds are shared with quite a few tame rabbits that are not worried about humans and like to be fed bread scraps. There is an excellent restaurant on the property with a menu offering many choices of tasty meals. We have stayed here several times and use it as home base for exploring the many forest service trails located close by. Make sure you tour the Dam and walk thru the extensive, well maintained gardens. Just great, clean, affordable accomodations

Wonderful! I was greeted warmly as I checked in to this resort and I was given a quaint little cabin for my stay, which I found adorable. The grounds were alive with bunnies everywhere and deer, which amused my dogs to watch. There are two walking trails for scenic strolls in the woods; one across the highway along the river and one thru the woods, cabin side. I thoroughly enjoyed both of these walks and so did my dogs, plus the swimming in the river after sticks. ( the dogs, not me! ) There is a little chapel creek side and also a restaurant at the front of the resort. I stayed here twice, once on my way West over the Cascade loop highway, and again on my return trip heading East. Both times I had a very comfortable stay and it was a quiet and peaceful place to spend the night. There were special amenities shown me on both of my stays, one of fresh coffee beans for grinding in the morning in my cabin for my coffee. And the second was on my return trip my cabin lights were on inside and outside of my cabin in case I should come in after dark. And also the ceiling fan was turned on to cool my cabin. I appreciated these things! The cabin had an assortment of old books too which I found interesting to browse thru. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, in fact I plan to do just that. And I will most certainly recommend this stay for anyway traveling through the Cascade loop highway. S.R. Yale

It's unfortunate to pay 35 dollars a night to have unfriendly owners/management. The place is "ok" but far from an RV "resort". Haven't seen a bunny yet, my bet is the other review is staged... Nice fireworks though if you want to camp somewhere on the fourth. I guess I am not surprised by the abundance of open spaces. Alpine down the road has $20 spots... Wish they had a website...

We have found its RV facilities very pleasant, and reasonably priced. The number of RV spaces is limited, and it would be prudent for longer rigs to call first.
