Kim was great, I liked her energy and approach to dog training. She tuned into my puppy right away. My puppy, Sophia, looks like a golden retriever and something else. Kim knew right away that she has some Border Collie in her. i would like her to be a therapy dog and we began the training. I felt like I understood Sophia so much more after our session.

I already liked Kim Brophey before I met her, because I had heard her speak on the ways in which breed affects dog behavior. I had also heard that she is the very best behaviorist in WNC, and I tend to agree. She taught us things about our dog that we did not know, and gave us some hard news that we needed to hear, when other behaviorists didn't. She is patient and thorough with her time, attention, and information. We constantly think of taking our other dogs to her to help us sort out each behavior problem because we know she could! I am grateful to her!

We happened to walk in this store while in Asheville on vacation. We have a very large Golden Retriever mix and we have had trouble finding things that fit him. I was looking at the harnesses that they sell and I discovered that, as is common, they did not offer the largest size in store. I was disappointed and asked if they had any somewhere else. They did not, but they immediately offered to special order one for me and have it shipped back to Virginia for free. I am thrilled with the purchase, it actually fit my bear sized dog, he loves the design and it has a warranty against chewing. The people who work here are very friendly and really know what they are talking about. They offered me literature on the new harness to read before it arrived at my house and were helpful with other recommendations on what we could buy that would be tough enough to stand up to his chewing. I will definitely be going back here next time I am in Asheville.

Dear Kim, We very much appreciated your visit and all of the comments and suggestions on how to move forward. Memphis has been and still is quite a handful, and probably by now close to 65 lbs or so. We have made (finally) some progress on the housetraining issues. Not 100%, but quite a bit I think. We were wondering if you know of some obedience training available for him? We've done this with the Huskies and with Jack, but all when they were puppies. Lynn somebody, out in the parking lot of Candler Vet Office.Others that you know of or would suggest? Do you do it? Let me know please at your convenience. Thank you very much.

We were having serious concerns with the behavior of a dog we really love. The problem has much improved since we had these guys out for a consultation. If you want to have the best possible relationship with your canine kids then this is the place to go. They will help you understand and communicate with your dog in a way that is both practical and very useful. It has helped relieve an incredible amount of stress in our lives and the lives of our dogs. It was soooo worth it. I only wish we had done it a year ago.
