Just moved to Silver Lake and visited Urban Pet for the first time this morning. Jonathan helped me pick a new food for my cat Lucy. Everything in the store is corn, grain and meat by-product free so finding a suitable replacement for the food I was feeding her was easy! I will be going here for all of Lucy's pet needs :)

Love this place! The staff is friendly and very helpful. They give a lot of useful information and my pets safety is always on their minds and even though I've only been there 3 times so far and they already know my dogs name. I am extremely satisfied and I would highly recommended anyone with a pet to go here. I'm definitely going back!

In desperate need and no one to take me I called urban pet I spoke to Patrick and told him about my dog Teddy who doesn't like to be groomed by strangers. He said "bring him in I'll try" that's all I needed to hear and I took my dog in a 10 pound cocker spaniel mix poodle a cockapoo 15hears old :) Patrick said hi to us and Teddy approched him as if he knew him for years, still hesitant I waited as Patrick said let me see if he allows me to groom him. I waited in there clean and well kept store. 10min later they showed me a video showing Teddy allowing himself to be groomed by Patrick. I was soooo happy. They said I could leave and come by in an hour. I did I left and when I got back teddy looked like a brand new pup happy as he can be. Thank you Patick and staff for making this experience comfortable and trustworthy. We will see you Soon! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Love the Urban Pet! It's gay owned and operated, and it feels good to support my people. But, that's not the point. They have everything you need for your city-dwelling pooch...and now that they carry Blue Buffalo products, it's pretty much a one-stop shop for my little family. The grooming center is awesome. Never have to wait to get a quick manny-paddy for my little angels, and the prices are reasonable. And, the staff are ridiculously friendly. I almost want to just hang out here like it's an indoor dog park, because the clientele and employees are just so chill, it's just always a pleasant experience to drop in. Highly recommend.

I'm a recent convert to Urban Pet. I think some of their items are overpriced, but I just don't buy those items. Their food prices for small bags are comparable to larger chain stores (Petco, Petsmart) I usually only come for food, a bully stick (they have the best), and a nail trim for my dog. As for bully sticks, I can't stress enough how GROSS the ones at Petco are here in Los Angeles. They smell so bad when the dog chews on them. The bully sticks at Urban pet are high quality and they don't smell horrible. I'm serious, you can be standing three feet away and smell the bastards if they're chewing on the cheap ones. The price is worth it at Urban Pet. You're paying for a peaceful environment if you ask me.
