Our initial consultation lasted about two hours (longer than any initial consultation afforded to me by previous cosmetic dentists), and Julie detailed Dr. Okuda’s unique approach in answering each and every question about my individual case with transparency and expertise. She made sure I felt valued as an individual client, explained every aspect of what I could expect and worked through a treatment plan that I felt comfortable with. Julie’s initial assessment, confirmed by Dr. Okuda during my second consultation, came as a surprise to me because it was the first time I was advised that I was not a candidate for an implant due to concerns about complications over time. In educating me about my individual case and Dr. Okuda’s approach in building a beautiful smile upon a foundation of health and function first, I was empowered to make a fully informed decision to invest in my smile. Cost was one of my main concerns, potentially disallowing me to go through with this treatment. For this reason, I am so grateful to current Practice Manager, Dessi Pacheco, for working with Dr. Okuda to consider my budget range, thus ensuring care would be within my financial reach. Becoming a patient of Dr. Wynn Okuda of the Dental Day Spa was one of the best decisions of my life. With every visit, I feel like I am giving myself a gift. Each time, I am graciously greeted by Lisa and/or Irene at the front desk and offered water or the anti inflammatory requisite for treatment, I am soon whisked away by massage therapist, Ava, who offers me a warm towel for my hands and face along with a plush blanket and warm neck pillow and gives me a personalized massage while I am in the dental chair. Before long, I get to catch up on my favorite Netflix episode or just relax with some classical or spa sounds while letting Dr. Okuda and his talented team of assistants, Amber, Chelsie and Jayvee work their magic. By the end of my visit, I feel relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated and all I have to do is sit up and watch the evolution of my beautiful smile. ☺ From my very first consultation and visit, right through to my final visit, Dr. Okuda ensured that I understood what to expect, he thoroughly explained any risk or challenges of each and every procedure, and was fully attuned and receptive to my own input as a partner in the development and crafting of my teeth. Each time I left the office, my smile became more and more beautiful. The temporary veneers Dr. Okuda crafted during the course of my treatment were so life-like that even my orthodontist was impressed! As I got my first set of permanent veneers, Dr. Okuda encouraged me to take careful notes of the shape, size, color and contouring to assure it was a perfect match. I felt valued as a participant in my care, and as I finally was fitted with my second and final set of permanent veneers… perfect in every way… I felt proud of my smile we had together created. Not a day goes by that I don’t receive a glowing compliment on my smile. I have Dr. Wynn Okuda and the Dental Day Spa to thank for this life transformation, though “thank you” can never fully capture the depth of gratitude I feel for what they have gifted me.
